The Yameriga E-Block in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region is set to be converted into a boarding school with key facilities to be constructed.
The member of parliament for Talensi Constituency, Duung Mahama, District Chief Executive for Talensi, Millim Nabwomya and high level government delegation are expected to cut sod for the commencement of the construction of boarding facilities for the Yameriga E-Block.
This move will ease the growing pressure and stress students in the Talensi District go through traveling far distances for secondary education.
The ceremony is expected to attract residents, chiefs and youth in the area in appreciation to the goodwill of president John Dramani Mahama in fulfilment of his promise to bring quality education to every corner in the country.
