Yagzore Community Progresses to Quarter Finals alongside D-Line in Group A

The last Group A matches for the Ramadan Soccer Fiesta 2026 have ended, with Yagzore Community topping the group and progressing to the quarter finals.

In the first match of the day, Zongo defeated Tindonmologo 1-0 to take them to 4 points.

The second match of the day was a wonderful encounter between Yagzore Community and D-Line. Yagzore Community started the game on a high, with several attempts that failed to hit the back of the net. The breakthrough came at half way in the first half when Suguri Francis’s curling shot found the back of the net, putting Yagzore Community ahead.

D-Line grew into the game after going down and enjoyed majority possession, testing the Yagzore Community goalkeeper in the process. The equalizer for D-Line came towards the end of the first half when a shot from outside the 18-yard box was deflected into the net, leveling the scores.

The second half started well, with both teams pushing hard for a goal until Mobil Park fell silent when a D-Line player suffered a serious injury, stopping the game for almost 15 minutes.

The game resumed after the break but there were no more goals, and the match ended in a draw.

The results put Yagzore Community top of Group A with 5 points, confirming their qualification alongside D-Line, who came second with 5 points. Zongo and Tindonmologo communities are eliminated from the competition after placing third and fourth, respectively, in the group.

The final matches of Groups B, C, and D will be played after the break, with Match Day 2 fixtures of the Middle League kicking off on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
