The Bolgatanga Municipal Health Directorate of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has recognized and honoured three organizations and one philanthropist for their significant contributions toward improving health service delivery.
The honorees include Endswell Pharmacy, Ex-Tee Crystal Hotel, Elohim Love Medical Mission (Ghana), and Mr Aziz Muntawakil, a Senior Staff Nurse and businessman.
They made donations in cash and kind to the Directorate to support capital-intensive projects, including ongoing construction at the Bolgatanga Health Centre.
Mr Alhassan Lawal, the Municipal Director of the GHS, presented citations of honour, stating that the Service sincerely recognized their “generous support and invaluable contribution to the Municipal Health Directorate.”
He noted that their benevolence, commitment, and dedication to strengthening health service delivery had significantly enhanced the Directorate’s efforts to provide quality healthcare to people within the municipality.
The Directorate recognized these contributions during its 2025 Annual Health Performance Review, held under the theme: “Strengthening health systems for sustainable and equitable access to quality healthcare: the role of monitoring and supportive supervision.”

Mr Lawal highlighted that their support and goodwill have had a meaningful impact on service delivery.
“Your partnership and goodwill have made a meaningful impact on our work and the communities we serve. The Directorate deeply appreciates your unwavering support and the spirit of collaboration you continue to demonstrate in advancing public health,” the Director added.
He expressed the Directorate’s gratitude and looked forward to a sustained partnership to promote the health and well-being of residents.
On behalf of the awardees, Dr Lawrence Atongo, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Endswell Pharmacy, thanked the management of the Municipal Directorate for the recognition.
He emphasized that members of the public, philanthropists, and stakeholders must support health delivery in any way possible rather than leaving the responsibility solely to the government.
