YAGZORE Community emerged victorious against ZONGO Community in the opening match of the Ramadan Soccer Fiesta 2026.
The match kicked off with ZONGO dominating early possession, but YAGZORE’s solid defense never gave them away until YAGZORE gradually grew into the game and started creating chances .
The breakthrough came via a beautifully worked set piece, converted by *Emmanuel* to give YAGZORE the halftime lead.
ZONGO pushed hard in the early stages of the second half after making half time substitution, but missed chances proved costly for them.
*Shibu* who came in as a substitute for Yagzore community sealed the win with a stunning goal assisted by *simon* after his first goal was ruled out by the referee as an offside goal, securing a 2-0 lead for Yagzore .
Zongo community tried several efforts to at least pull one back but failed to do so with YAGZORE community securing the win while *Yin* the midfield General known as *Tico* adjudged as the man of the match after the by organizers.
This win propels YAGZORE to the top of Group A, with 3 points 2 goals alongside D-Line, who edged Tindonmologo 2-1.
