Talensi District is stumping their grounds in the Upper East Inter-District U13 Milo Games, winning their first three matches with an impressive display of goals.
In their opening game, Talensi defeated Builsa North District 3-1, thanks to Adoku Evans’ brace and Sore Michael’s goal.
Their second game was a 6-0 thrashing of neighbors Nabdam District, with Simon Tii scoring a *hat-trick* and Zongzie and Desmond adding to the tally.
In their third game, the defending champions continued their winning streak with a 4-0 win over Garu District, courtesy of two goals each from Evans and Michael.
Under the leadership of Coach Emmanuel Azudaa and Coach Lambert’s,the team has been impressive, scoring 13 goals and conceding just 1 in 3 games, with 2 clean sheets.
Talensi District’s strong performance is a statement to all the other districts, and they’re looking strong for the tournament. As defending champions and Upper East representatives in last year’s National Milo games, they’ll be aiming to get to the final and win it all, securing their spot at the national stage once again they face Tempane District in the quarterfinals at the Bolgatanga SHS park on Thursday morning.
