Empowering Educators: GNAT Leadership Engages Zamse Senior High Technical School Teachers to Driven Welfare and Unity

In a proactive move to bridge the gap between leadership and the grassroots, the Municipal Chairman of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), Mr. Solomon George Gbenga, led a high-powered delegation to engage with the teaching staff of Zamse Senior Technical High Technical School (ZAMSTECH).

The interactive session provided a vital platform to outline ongoing initiatives aimed at teacher transformation, while directly addressing the pressing concerns of frontline educators.

Addressing the staff, Mr. Gbenga highlighted several key activities and strategic interventions currently being rolled out at the district level. He emphasized that GNAT’s primary focus remains steadfast on upgrading the welfare of its members and creating robust avenues for continuous professional development. “Our commitment is to ensure that every teacher is equipped, supported, and motivated to deliver their best,” Mr. Gbenga stated.

A major highlight of the engagement was an open-floor session where teachers shared their grassroots challenges, constructive suggestions, and localized grievances.

Mr. Gbenga reassured the members that their feedback is not just valued, but essential. He noted that the voices of the rank-and-file are the cornerstone for shaping the association’s collective progress and policy advocacy.

The Chairman reiterated the current executive body’s readiness to usher in a new era for the association. He pledged a leadership style rooted in: Fostering a cohesive front among all categories of teachers, robustly championing the rights and fair treatment of members at all levels and ensuring that the systemic challenges facing teachers are not just heard, but decisively addressed.

“As leadership, we remain fully committed and ready to change the narrative. Together, we can build a stronger, more resilient, and better GNAT for all,” Mr. Gbenga concluded.
